JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Compliance Manager evaluates compliance requirements and findings (e.g., Anti Money Laundering, Denied Party Screening etc…). He/She reviews compliance changes and collaborates with internal and external groups to protect UPS from liability due to non-compliance. The Corporate Compliance Manager assists in the development of training programs addressing compliance changes. This position manages Compliance Supervisors.
The UPS Capital (UPSC) Compliance Manager manages the UPSC compliance program. He/She ensures the UPSC compliance program is aligned with regulations, laws, policies, processes, and procedures as well as the UPS compliance program. This position manages the day-to-day compliance process while collaborating with the various UPSC business units and functions and the UPS Compliance group to monitor and improve existing processes and procedures related to compliance. He/She develops and updates existing compliance training programs and materials and creates compliance training programs targeted to specific business units and functions within UPSC. He/she will assist in identifying new training and education required to improve awareness of emerging regulatory matters and manages resources and people processes (e.g.,], Career Development, Training, Staffing, etc.) to ensure the day to day administration of processes and formal procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties
Collaborates with legal counsel on inquiries and investigations by federal, state, and regulatory agencies to ensure UPSC provides appropriate responses
Provides updates to business units on the impact of regulatory actions to UPSC to ensure strategies are implemented
Supports the development of corporate-wide training programs to educate employees on new compliance issues
Identifies individual and team skill gaps and developmental opportunities (e.g., training, special assignments, conferences, projects, etc.) to facilitate individual and team development
Manages denied party screening processes
Manages department programs and initiatives.
Uses analytics to provide support and recommendations to department leadership. Manages and Develops Others

Manages Employee Compliance Knowledge and Skills
Distinguishes between “big picture” concepts and comments and specialized, smaller specific facts associated with work; notes the specifics of events and experiences; explains, in general, how details impact end goals or outcomes; ensures that work is completed accurately and with the appropriate level of detail
Applies established procedures for responding to incidents; determines and documents information pertinent to incidents; communicates resolutions or results to stakeholders
Understands how labor and employment laws impact specific jobs; describes current wage, hour, and benefit standards; identifies instances of non-compliance involving recruitment, interviewing, candidate selection, and discipline and follows procedures for resolving them; involves appropriate internal and external parties in resolving labor and employment issues
Applies knowledge of agency functions and regulations to compliance and enforcement activities; identifies routine situations where the organization may be out of compliance as well as the specific impacts of non-compliance
Identifies and evaluates risks; determines and applies appropriate risk treatment(s)
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite to include Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word - Preferred
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a U.S. citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree)
