An exciting opportunity for you to be part of a new and global team within the Shell Trading that looks after the design and implementation of compliance controls. You will be expected to make a significant contribution to the development and maintenance of Compliance Controls globally.

What’s the role?

The Senior Analyst Compliance Controls is a member of the Trading & Supply Compliance Controls team which has responsibility for the design and documentation of all LOD2 Compliance controls across the T&S compliance risks, as well as support and advise to the business (LOD1) in relation to the design and documentation of LOD1 compliance controls.

The initial focus of the role includes Financial Crime (AML/KYC, Sanctions and ABC) is expected to expand into the other T&S Compliance Risks (market abuse, licencing etc).

The Senior Analyst Compliance Controls will be expected to:


Support the development and maintenance of key elements of the T&S Compliance Control Framework for LOD1 (or the business lines);
Provide support and guidance to LOD1 with relation to the design and documentation of Compliance Controls;
Support the assessment of the design and suitability of T&S LOD1 Compliance controls, identifying gaps and areas for improvements;
Support the roll-out and implementation of the LOD1 Compliance Controls;
Partner as a Compliance Controls SME with other parts of Compliance and other Functions, including Operational Risk, Legal, Finance, Business Excellence and Audit.
Support the development and roll out of the relevant modules of Metricstream as compliance controls SME.
Be a member of the compliance team of the Risk Task Force’s controls project working group (LOD1).
Support the Compliance Controls team with LOD2 Compliance Control work.

Requirements:

What we need from you

We’re keen to speak from individuals with relevant experience in supporting the design and maintenance of a Control Framework within a Financial Services, trading firm or energy company.

We also hope that your CV will show robust understanding of categorisation and the ability to assist with design and implementation a comprehensive Controls library.

In addition to the above, we’d hope you possess the following attributes:


Clear understanding of the “3 Lines of Defence” model and segregation of duties for each LOD
Knowledge of the global Energy markets (Gas, Power, Carbon and Oil)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills


A demonstrated ability to collaborate and partner effectively within a global team and a wide range of stakeholders. Someone who can always establish integrity, demonstrating sound moral and ethical principles during their work.
