Full-Time Compliance Specialist
for the Albany, NY region
! Tax Credit, COS, LIHTC certificates required, Section 8 Housing knowledge is preferred as well as prior experience in affordable housing.

Qualifications:

· Must have background in supervision and successful track record of accomplishments.
· Section 8/Tax Credit/Rural Development Home Funds/Compliance experience required.

Job Details & Responsibilities:
· Review assigned move-ins, all initial certifications, annual re-certifications, and interim certifications in accordance with outlined procedures and processes.
· Regularly review Recertification schedule to ensure all re-certifications are processed as required and communicate daily with the Director of Compliance on recertification statuses.
· Work with Office Managers in preparation of certification notices, interviews, verifications of household information, and completion of the Tenant Income Certifications.
· Work with the Office Managers in the preparation of all compliance related forms and documents as directed by the Director of Compliance.
· Perform compliance file reviews as requested and work with other area Compliance Specialists.
· Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to apartments.
· Keep up to date on all new IRS regulations as they relate to tax credit properties.
· Keep current on all changes to Section 8, Rural Development Home Funds, fair housing standards, compliance, and other applicable housing programs.
· Preform other duties, assignments and special projects and reports as assigned.
Relationships:
· Reports to the Director of Compliance.
· Maintains relationships with other departments within CRM.
· Maintain positive customer service attitude.
· Periodic inspection with residents of move-in/move-outs and causes.
Experience:
Policies, procedures, program: 5 years (Preferred)
MOR Review, REAC, tax credit, section 8: 5 years (Preferred)
Fair Housing regulations: 5 years (Preferred)
HOME, Housing Trust Fund: 5 years (Preferred)
