Description

The Compliance Professional 2 ensures compliance with governmental requirements by reviewing existing policy and procedure and drafting new policies and procedures when necessary. The Compliance Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

Responsibilities

The Compliance Professional 2 develops, drafts, edits, and implements compliance policies and procedures. This position is a hybrid legal and technical writer that will research compliance issues and recommend changes that assure compliance with contract obligations.

This Compliance Professional 2 must also learn how various business areas impact each other and maintain a strong understanding of cross-functionality throughout the organization. A well qualified individual will be able to make decisions regarding their own work methods, often in ambiguous situations, require minimal direction and be a competent researcher such that they can find answers to questions where existing guidance is not in place.

The Compliance professional 2 must also follows established guidelines/procedures.

Required Qualifications


Bachelor's degree OR minimum 2 years policy and regulatory drafting experience
Experience managing projects that includes maintaining timelines, documentation and communication
Strong research and writing skills
Strong attention to detail


Preferred Qualifications


Compliance regulations experience
Analytical experience
Technical writing experience
Legal reading and writing experience
Advanced degree
Manage internal policy for Medicare and/or Medicaid lines of business


Work-At-Home Requirements


WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
