The IT Compliance Manager position is responsible to ensure Husky compliance controls (with primary focus on Entity Level, IT General Controls (ITGC) and Application Controls for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance) within the Digital Solutions Team (DST) are designed and operating effectively.
You will provide comprehensive subject matter expertise and act as a trusted focal point of contact for compliance matters; work closely with compliance specialists, control and process owners, Internal Controls team, and internal and external audit teams to drive planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining controls, and proactively monitoring compliance and deficiency remediation activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Comprehensive subject matter expertise on SOX compliance and a trusted focal point of contact for compliance matters with all stakeholder levels, including senior leadership
Develop strong relationships with control and process owners to drive design, implementation, and maintenance of controls in accordance with the organizational risk appetite and tolerance for design and operating effectiveness
Work with control and process owners to develop and maintain all necessary artifacts and process documentation (System scope definition, Risk and Control matrices, Control Applicability matrix, Technology scope, process narratives, evidence requirements and others, as required)
Develop and track a set of key lead and lag indicators to ensure proactive monitoring of control performance and effectiveness
Lead process walkthroughs and audit activities, including planning and scope definition
Manage quarterly and annual SOX 404 disclosure process and sub-certifications
Ensure effective implementation of control remediation plans
Conduct risk assessments to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement activities to bring efficiencies in the application of controls
Maintain high level of awareness of controls through training and on-going communication to current and newly on-boarded team members
Assist with other compliance requirements (GDPR, CTPAT, ISO, NIST, DERA, etc.) and risk management practice
CAPABILITIES:
Comprehensive knowledge of SOx requirements, strong understanding of PCAOB standards, COSO and US GAAP - required.
Publicly listed sector IT audit experience – required.
Track record of driving design and implementation of IT General and Automated controls in a complex technical environment – required.
Strong knowledge in technology and financial processes
Strong influencing skills: ability to present points of view effectively and gain support for their position, balancing technical and business considerations, at higher levels of stakeholder seniority
Ability to identify risks and recommend cost-effective controls
Experience creating and maintaining effective process documentation.
Experience with GRC tools (AuditBoard experience considered an asset).
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with high attention to detail, ability to work within aggressive timelines.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize multiple workloads.
Continuous process improvement mindset.
Industry certifications (CISA, CRISC, similar) - required.
Familiarity with GDPR and other privacy regulations, cyber security frameworks and standards (NIST CSF, ISO 2700x, CIS Critical Controls) – preferred.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in a IT discipline or related field, or equivalent
