Job Details:

Come be a part of a team which monitors Tyson’s controls environment and performs testing to determine if controls are designed appropriately and operating effectively. This position is responsible for supporting work and testing of SOX controls compliance and other projects completed on behalf of Tyson’s external auditors, such as key reports testing and substantive financial audits. This audit senior will assist the audit leadership team with planning SOX and external audit work during the year, performing testing, and coordinating with the external auditors on additional work or projects identified during the year.

The work performed by this position supports Tyson leadership’s annual SOX opinion on internal controls. This is a great opportunity to network with various Tyson business units and leadership while learning Tyson’s business and controls environment. The ability to multi-task on several projects simultaneously and the ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency and meet deadlines is important. Additionally, strong workpaper documentation skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of accounting and controls guidance is important.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business

Experience: 3 plus years professional experience preferred with a portion being made up of either public accounting or industry internal audit experience preferred; good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Previous big 4 public accounting experience or prior SOX experience preferred. Knowledge and prior experience with the COSO control framework a plus.

Computer Skills: Standard computer skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as SAP.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of management; strong presentation skills.

Special Skills: Certified Public Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor a plus. Data analytics experience a plus.

Supervisory: This position has no responsibility for supervising other personnel.

Travel: Approximately 2-3 trips per year.
