Description
The Compliance Lead ensures compliance with governmental requirements. The Compliance Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial. This role will focus on Humana's latest product, Author by Humana, and help advance our relationship with Digital Health & Analytics to ensure continued compliance through innovative product offerings and improved technologies.
Responsibilities
The Compliance Lead develops and implements compliance policies and procedures. Researches compliance issues and recommends changes that assure compliance with contract and regulatory obligations. Maintains relationships with government agencies. Coordinates site visits for regulators, coordinates implementation and compliance with corrective action plans, as needed. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision. Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
The Compliance Lead will:
Represent regulatory compliance in cross-functional efforts to develop and implement new products
Oversee enterprise efforts to strengthen compliance controls to minimize risks through the use of new technologies and ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations
Establish monitoring and auditing plans to prevent and detect issues and ensure timely remediation of the issues identified
Assess complex issues and provide guidance and recommendations to business partners, Legal, Internal Audit and Compliance associates and leaders.
Assist with special projects, as needed
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
4 or more years of audit experience
2 or more years of project leadership experience
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced graduate degree
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Six Sigma certification
Experience in a compliance role
Advanced experience with building, collecting, validating, and communicating large sets of data
