Provide Export compliance guidance to all sites and locations. Support compliance with pertinent Export laws, regulations and guidelines mandated by government agencies (i.e., Customs, Bureau of Industry and Security, Department of Census etc.) in the countries which BMS conducts business and support the establishment of BMS corporate policies and procedures to support these requirements. Support the development and delivery of strategic training for managing Export compliance at BMS. Provide management, guidance and support of the GTS system for Restricted Party Screening. Primary responsibility for Americas region. High-level support to the EMEA/APAC regions.
Support the development of strategic direction and leadership for managing Export compliance at BMS
Support the development and implementation of Corporate policies, directives, procedures and processes for managing Export compliance
. Provide high-level support for the establishment of SEA teams to address Export Compliance for the EMEA/APAC regions. Align with AD, EMEA/APAC Import/Export Compliance on management of Export Compliance
Support various BMS business units to review and investigate potential restricted parties utilizing the GTS system and other tools available to ensure BMS conducts business in a compliant manner.
Develop and deliver Export training as needed.
Provide guidance and direction to SEA and others on Export Compliance.
Facilitate site self assessment programs
Provide assistance in preparation for Export Compliance related audits and directly facilitate audits as the primary point of contact;
Work with sites to determine business changes required to address new regulations or changes to regulations
Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related areas preferred. MBA degree a plus.
Experience / Knowledge Desired:
Minimum 5 years experience in direct management function. Minimum 10 years experience in BMS Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance or Logistics preferred.
Knowledge of Export regulations.
Knowledge Export Controls, Sanctions, Anti-boycott and Restricted Party Screening regulations.
Understanding of global biologics manufacturing, logistics and distribution operations.
